Bah Humbug

I have been analyzing attitudes of those around me this Christmas. The majority of people I have got feedback from (friends, family, co-workers, and also including myself) have been rather, lets call it, "Bah Humbug" like.  It started with only myself. "I don't feel very Christmas like this year" I can recall thinking. But as Christmas grew closer, as it always does, I found that that very attitude was surrounding me in others thoughts as well. So maybe I am truly creating my own universe, and these thoughts and feelings are purely a manifestation of my own thoughts and feelings, but rather then diving to deep at this moment in time, lets examine the reason as to why this "Bah Humbug" feeling is arising.

1. Consumerism.

Lets face it boys and girls, Christmas is a time to spend, spend, spend. At least that's what the adverts on television and within our industries tell us.

"Expect more this year!"

It may be the superficial want that is never satisfied, not having the ability to give as much as you'd like, or the simple idea that materialism is just not what Christmas is "all about". Yes these could be the reasons as to why the idea of our Consumerist Christmas is really getting us down and out.
